COLLEGE/CAREER NIGHT & OPEN HOUSE SET FOR AUG. 24

College & Career Information Night and Open House is set for Thursday, Aug. 24. The Guiidance Dept. will present on planning for college and career readiness from 5-6 pm in the Civic. From 6-7:30 pm, students may visit representatives from more than two dozen post-secondary institutions set up in the hallways. From 6:30-8:30, parents can follow their student's schedule to meet their teachers in their classrooms. Click here for a list of colleges attending. 

Student Musicians Coming to Your Neighborhood Sept. 9

Tag!  Lakewood is IT. Who can it be knocking at my door? Lakewood High School musicians will be walking in your neighborhood on Saturday, September 9, from 1:00-5:00 pm.  Musicians will be handing out the 2017-2018 performance schedule, Music Boosters membership forms, phone app info, and accepting free will donations. Board Considers Multi-Purpose Field Proposal for North Lot

Superintendent Jeff Patterson recommended to the Board of Education at its August 7 meeting that it consider installing a multi-purpose field in the North Lot across from Lakewood High. The Board had promised at the beginning of the Facilities Master Plan implementation that it would return the North Lot to a field and parking lot when construction was complete.

Student Parking Passes Available 7 AM on Aug 21

carParking passes will go on sale on Monday, August 21 at 7 am in the Bookroom  A limited number of passes will be available and will likely sell out that morning.  The cost is $10. The application must be signed by the student and parent.  Also required are the student's driver's license and current proof of insurance with expiration date. LHS Performing Arts/Phys Ed Wing Dedication Is Aug. 20

LHS new wingPlease join the Lakewood Board of Education, Superintendent Jeff Patterson and Principal Keith Ahearn at the Dedication Celebration for the new Lakewood High School Performing Arts & Physical Education Wing on Sunday, Aug. 20, 2017 at 4 pm. The building will be open for tours immediately following the ceremony. The District is eager to share this significant milestone with community members, whose generosity made the completion of our Facilities Master Plan possible!

LHS Team is Academic Challenge Champion!

ac The Lakewood High School Academic Challenge Team captured the championship of the WEWS-NewsChannel 5 Academic Challenge TV show! The team of seniors Ian Bell and Evan Suttell and junior Brian Donahoe beat teams from St. Vincent St. Mary and Benedictine high schools for the win. Lakewood finished with 560 points, St. Vincent St. Mary 440 and Benedictine 390. Besides the trophy, the win earned the school $4,000. Congratulations to the team and to advisers Peter Petto and Bob Sedlak.
