Harding Exceptional Men’s Club Enjoys Virtual Reality

On April 10, 2017, The Harding Exceptional Men’s Club welcomed General Manager of Best Buy in North Olmsted Matt Romance and Playstation VR representative Kaylee Stocksdale to discuss career goals and careers in technology related fields.  Mr. Altman, HMS Science/Social Studies teacher, wanted his club members to get real world experience discussing careers. 

The students enjoyed two hours of after school time on a new Playstation VR set up and discussed with representatives their future goals and plans. Click here to see photo gallery.

Summer School Registration Begins May 1

Registration for the Lakewood City Schools' summer school program for high school and middle school begins May 1. Session 1 runs from June 9-29 and Session 2 from June 30-July 21. Click here for more information on classes and how to register.

recycle logoDoing some spring cleaning over Spring Break?  Please save those things for just a couple more weeks. It can translate into money for the Harding PTSA. Bring your donations to the Savers truck at Harding (in parking lot behind the school) between 10 am- 1 pm on Saturday, April 29. Four hundred bags of clothing amounts to about $1,000! Middle School Celebration of the Arts Set for May 8

the arts logoOn Monday, May 8 from 7-8 pm, Garfield and Harding Middle Schools will host a Celebration of the Arts and Open House. This event will showcase a year of learning for our students in their writing workshop, art, and STEM classes. The event will take place in Garfield's cafeteria for all middle school students and parents to attend. Garfield and Harding Strolling Strings ensembles will combine to perform at the event. Come help celebrate the success and growth of our students as writers, artists, musicians, and scientific problem solvers!

Sandy Hook Promise Say Something Week

Harding Middle School is proud to participate in the Sandy Hook Promise Say Something week this October 24-18.  As a way to carry forward our assembly message, Mrs. Dalton and the Say Something Club will have activities planned during our lunch periods.  By participating in Say Something Week this October 24 – 28, HMS is joining hundreds of schools and youth organizations across the United States to empower young people to prevent tragedy and save lives.
