Solar Eclipse

solar eclipse

On August 21, 2017, a total solar eclipse will cross North America.  This event is being called “The Great American Solar Eclipse,” because it is the first time since 1918 a solar eclipse will be visible on a path across the entire continental United States. Planning is underway to ensure our students can experience this once-in-a-lifetime event.

Safety is always a top priority for us.  We will take all precautionary measures with both students and staff to make this experience both safe and enjoyable.

Because of these safety concerns, a parent signature on a permission form is required by August 21 in order for students in grades 2-5 to participate using the eclipse glasses. Students in 1st grade and those whose parents either do not complete this form or choose to opt out their child will view televised coverage and complete an alternative activity from inside the school building during the eclipse.

A copy of the permission slip has been mailed home or you can find it here.

Welcome to School

Wecome to the 2017-2018 school year!  At Lincoln, we look forward to partnerships between families and school to help our children acheive their highest possible success.

The first day of school for K is August 24 and the first day for grades 1-5 is August 21.  School doors open at 8:45 and tardy bell is at 9:00.  Walkers will enter and exit the Clifton Ave. doors and drivers will use the cafeteria doors near the main entrance off the parking lot.

On the first day of school, all students will report to their 2016-2017 classrooms and new students will report to the cafeteria.  We will have announcements 'moving up' students to the next grades.

Join other family members at the PTA provided First Day Cafe for parents on the lawn as you drop off students to school!
